Detroit's water department was seized without so much as a whimper this past week. Very little attention by the press was paid to it, unsurprisingly.
The powers that be just said, "negroes what's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine." The mayor was mute. And a majority of Detroit's elected politicians and supposed power brokers were and are contented.
Why? Because they don't fear consequence. Detroit is done. This is the proverbial and literal nail in the coffin. The game is over. I'd like to be proven wrong... but hey, it is what it is.
People can always hope though.
